Desh Byte is a software development company based in Bangladesh, building products for businesses that need software to actually work.
Desh Byte started from a simple observation: plenty of software gets delivered, and not much of it survives contact with the business it was built for. Requirements get taken literally, edge cases get discovered in production, and the client is left with something they cannot change without calling the original developer.
We wanted to work differently. That means understanding the business before choosing an approach, saying when a requirement does not make sense, and handing over a codebase the client's own team can read.
We are based in Bangladesh and we build for clients wherever they are. The name says the rest: smart software, built here.
Realistic timelines, named risks, and bad news delivered early. We would rather lose a project than win it on a number we do not believe.
Readable code, considered interfaces, and the details users never consciously notice but always feel.
We treat the project as ours until it is live and working. Not 'that was out of scope' at the moment it matters.
Most of our best work happens on the second or third project, once we understand the business properly.
We ask what the software is meant to change. If we cannot answer that, we are not ready to start.
Data model, workflow and edge cases first. Interfaces are easier to get right once the underlying model is honest.
Typed code, reviews, automated checks and deployments. Speed comes from not having to redo things.
Software is not finished when it ships. We plan for maintenance, monitoring and the next round of changes.
We are a small engineering team that prefers depth over headcount. Everyone who works on your project understands the business context, not just their ticket.
We are growing carefully. We would rather take fewer projects and do them properly than staff up to fill a pipeline.
